Matt grew up in San Diego and came to Ohio to attend The College of Wooster where he met his wife, Heather. They have two sons in their late teens and an Alaskan Malamute, Strider, who takes them on walks at local parks. A Benedictine Oblate to the World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM), he seeks (and often stumbles) to live all things prayerfully, open to the presence and love of God. His passion and joy in ministry is pointing others toward this contemplative way of Christian life. He serves as the National Coordinator of the WCCM-US community and holds degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div) and University of Dubuque Theological Seminary (D.Min).
